Privacy policy

Nagata Dance operates the website NagataDance.com and collects your personal information to provide our families with payments online options including a shopping cart.  Personal information that is collected includes: name, address, telephone number, email address, families class interest and need, participant’s name, school information along with credit card and billing information.  We do not sell or lease your personal information with third parties.  However we use email providers like MailChimp, GoDaddy and Gmail to send out messages to all our customers.

Products and Services Offered (updated April  2016)

At the Nagata Dance Studio we provide:

Studio Program

Dance Classes ($10-$35/class)

-Children ($28-$35/class)

-Adult ($15/ class)

-Community ($10 and up/class)

-Private lessons (starts at $40/lesson)

Dance Parties (starts at $255)

Dance Camps (starts at $399)

-weekly camps

-after care from 3-6 P.M. ($25/day)

Dance Performance (starts at $10/ticket)

Outreach Program

In-school dance class: up to 50 students per class, 45 minutes, minimum of two dance classes, concludes with performance after 8 weeks  (starts at $150/class)

After-school dance class: up to 28 students, 45-60 minutes, between 2:30-5:30 P.M. ($15-$20/student)

Parade Team: one minute choreographed dance, 4 dance classes, 1 school wide showing of the dance and leadership on the day of the parade (starts at $2500)

We also sell:

Costumes for dance performances (starts at $55)

Uniforms for dance class (starts at $20)

Rehearsal Space (starts at $25/hour)

Performance Venue ($150/hour)

 

We honor the following discounts:

-early bird discounts (up to $50 off-payment deadline strictly enforced)

-community discounts (varies)

All Payment is due in full before the first day of class or camp. Discounted rates must be paid in full by the discount deadline. Payments can be made by credit card online or cash or check at the studio. Checks should be made out to Nagata Dance Inc. and sent to 1740 Buchanan St. San Francisco CA 94115.
Please be aware that a class or a camp session will be canceled if less than five students enroll and each Studio class and camp session has a maximum number of students. If a class you have chosen is cancelled or full, we are happy to help you select another class or provide a full refund.
We cannot offer refunds or fee reductions for days missed due to illness, absence, vacations, or change in family circumstance.
We want all dancers at the Studio to be happy in the dance class they have chosen. The first week of every semester is called Warm Up Week, during which students can switch to another class at no charge. After Warm Up Week, provided the requested class is available, students can transfer to a different class for a small $15 administration fee.

If you cancel your registration in writing before the third dance class of the term, you will receive all money back except a non-refundable class and administration fee of $75. If for any reason you decide to discontinue your class on or after your third dance class, there will be a minimum fee of $105.  There will be no refunds if you cancel on or after your fourth dance class; however depending on the circumstance we might be able to offer you a partial credit. We do not prorate or give credit for classes missed, however we welcome students to join mid-session and will accommodate at $28 per class for the remaining classes in the term.

In the case of an overdue account, a statement will be emailed for the amount due, including a late charge of $30 fifteen days after the overdue payment was due.

Any student with an overdue balance of more than 60 days will not be allowed into class until payment is received in full or payment arrangements have been made.

If you cancel your registration in writing 30 days or more prior to your first day of dance camp and we are able to fill your child’s reserved spot with another dance, you will receive all money back except a non-refundable administration fee of $75. If for any reason you decide to discontinue your camp with less then 30 days written notice or we are not able to fill your child’s reserved spot, we cannot offer any refunds. However depending on the circumstance, we may be able to offer you a 50% credit good for one year.

Especially since dance camp has fewer spots available, please review carefully the dance camp dates and times before signing up.  

There is a $55 costume fee for every dance your child is in.  Some classes do not require a costume to perform.  Please inquiry call (415) 440-4849.
